Scapes
Welcome back to "As I See It"
When I first built my website, one of the galleries within it was named “Naturescapes”. I had 160 photos in that gallery. All my perty nature related photos.
Ocean, sunsets, fields and rivers, flowers, autumn colors, snowy winter images.
There was no particular order, rhyme or reason to how I had them displayed.
When I decided to review and revamp my website, all of that stood out to me, like the sore thumb that it was. The “Naturescapes” gallery felt clunky and incongruent, in a way that it hadn’t before.
While spending some time on the San Mateo coast, I transformed the “Naturescape” gallery into five galleries.
“NatureScapes”
“OceanScapes”
“Flora and FaunaScapes”
“AutumnScapes”
“Winterscapes”
Each gallery name is relatively self explanatory, yet there are a few explanatories that I will make. (Yes, that's a word)
The “OceanScapes” has images of both The Pacific Ocean, and The Atlantic Ocean.
The “AutumnScapes” images are from both Northern California and Northern New England.
The “Winterscapes” are all from Northern New England.
Prior to my moving to Northern New England, my winters had all been spent on the California coast. Anyone who knows the California coast knows, it doesn’t snow there. It doesn't rain either, but people, let me warn ya', it pours, man, it pours..🎶
With that being said, (or sung), we did have a dusting of snow, in the winter of ’88, or was it ’89..? ’90?
It didn’t last long enough to get any photos, but I remember. It was a magical day, cause.. well… snow is magical.
In next week’s blog, we’ll explore some of the other galleries on my website. (Or something else, if Spirit moves me.)
Till next time,
Be Well
